(The only surviving photograph of An Empty Heart in "HERE, where the world is quiet.")
During the Four Mysterious Objects event that began on August 9th, 2007, the very first user who solved all the haikus and played “HERE, where the world is quiet” was the first and only user to have met An Empty Heart. If it weren’t for them, there would’ve been no existing recordings of this deviation at all due to it never being documented past that point.

An Empty Heart takes the appearance of a black and white humanoid figure, adorning a Void Star crown, pirate hat, and at its core, a black star-shaped object inside of it, as well as having no discernable face except for a single heart decal. It seems An Empty Heart takes the appearance of the avatar of Shedletsky, who was one of the event’s organizers, as his avatar adorned a pirate aesthetic around the time the event was made.

More information on its actions can be found below.

The following is the only documented interaction between An Empty Heart and a user in the wild. For ease of telling each speaker apart, H stands for An Empty Heart, and U stands for User.
        > U: “what the hell is that”
        > U: “is someone in this server with me?”

        > The user proceeds to check the playerlist and leaderboard to find nobody but themself.

        > U: “i’ve already seen you who are you”

        > H: "and who might you be?"
        > H: “we can shine as stars together, [REDACTED]”

        > U: “how do you know my name”

        > H: “come closer. and ill show you it all.”

        > The user walks closer and closer to Voidfraud as it’s torso emits a brightening white light.

        > U: “what do you want from me?”

        > H: “i know you’re facing a hard time.”
        > H: “but i can make it right.”
        > H: “so i want you to follow the path i’ve tread for you"

        > U: “anything to feel better”

        > H: “dead dreams of our paradise astray”
        > H: “a world filled with division and riot”
        > H: “so take my hand and i’ll lead the way”
        > H: “here, where the world lies quiet.”

The user has told us further commentary, as the chat logs soon ended after that final message from An Empty Heart.
“after it said that final line, it beamed a bright white light from my computer screen at me, starting from the core of its torso and soon spread to my entire screen, beaming pure white at me”
“i dont know what took me over, but i just began crying. it knew something about my life that i never wanted to recognize.”

“soon after, the light ended and went black, and it displayed a small white line of text on my screen.”
        “it told me this.”

“reach to me and ill hold your hand close”
“and soon, we will meet as true perfection.”

“right after, i heard a loud sine wave ringing in my ears and it only kept getting louder.”

“it then ended after an insufferable hour, and i was later on learnt i had permanent but minor ear damage.”

From further research, An Empty Heart has never seen any further encounters. Not even in other games, nor the same game place ever again. But, from what’s been observed in its singular documentation of existence, An Empty Heart appears to manipulate players that have trauma or mental disorders, and promise them a brighter future if they follow its word, then trips its victims into feeling even worse. This is the first documented deviation to ever cause one real-life damage. It is also hightly thought of that An Empty Heart is the creator of all Void Star damage.

It was hell to try and resurge this guy from hiding after all these years. Finally, one of our guys found them hiding in the files of “HERE, where the world is quiet,” or more specifically in an archived version of it, and we finally got it under containment. Seems like the admins knew about An Empty Heart, but hid it. All forum posts about it were also deleted before anyone could see it. Weird…
        Weapon Description
“A singular reflective sphere hovering by your side. It seems to emit a gentle hum as it circles around your head.”

        Attire Description
“You’ll shine just as bright as it always wanted you to be. Above your very heart you feel both hollow and full. It makes most feel uneasy, but you’ll get used to it."

Algernon, or less formally known as The Void Core, has only ever been documented as An Empty Heart’s alternate form when breaching containment. It takes the appearance of a singular black star encompassed by a sort of dyson sphere composed of the void star accessory surrounding it and a sword piercing through its core. Algernon has no documentary information outside of how it acts when it breaches.

It is heavily advised to have all agents suppress Algernon once it breaches. Algernon will deal heavy voidstar damage, passively draining all agent sanity meters. Algernon has been documented to have three phases to it, with each one progressing with every third of its health being taken away, or over periods of time.

Algernon will teleport to the center of the department it’s held in, and will emit a loud sinewave to all agents in the department. Agents with a sanity level below 3 will instantly go into a state of panic and are susceptible to instant death. Agents with sanity level 3 and above will have their sanity meter slowly be drained. Nothing more happens beyond this phase.
Algernon will begin emitting “sonar booms” throughout the department, and also begin effecting agent sanity in neighboring departments. These sonars will deal heavy voidstar damage to all agents in the current department. Panicking agents that are hit by these sonars will instantly die and will be pulled into the center of the core.
If all agents in the current department have died, it will spread and teleport to an entirely different department to cause mayhem in.

Algernon will teleport to the center department and charge up over a span of a minute to emit one final sonar boom, affecting all agents in all departments, enough to do lethal damage to inexperienced agents, and near-death damage to the highest of agents.
After this final sonar boom, it will go back into containment
If Algernon is killed before this final attack, it will collapse in on itself and explode, dealing very minor void star damage to agents in the current room with it. You will also be rewarded with a variant of An Empty Heart's R.E.P weapon.

Don’t ever let An Empty Heart escape and turn into this… thing. Unless you want its R.E.P weapon variant and you’re prepared, this thing is certain death.
Also, Deviation idolatry is strictly against RDD policy. If you or another agent catches someone worshipping this… thing, please report it to the higher ups and they will be taken care of, and you can also be properly rewarded. There is no “god” in any of those containment cells.

Rewards include lollipops of your choosing. The most popular flavor currently is lemon and blue raspberry.

        Weapon Description
“It emits a soft sine wave constantly, all four of them. Each one seems to possess the power of dealing all four damage types, although they cycle between which goes next.”
