Deviations are the main research topic to the Roblox Deviation Database, or RDD. Deviations are to be held in containment cells in a heavily secure holding department far off the baseplates of Robloxia, and are studied for further explanation and to protect the citizens of Robloxia from the unusual and mysterious. Deviations are also studied to gain R.E.P equipment, which aid in suppressing deviations that have breached, as well as giving attire with special defensive attributes to them.
Be duly noted that all deviations are numbered in order of them being reported or shown evidence of existing, and not in order of when they were contained.
All anomalies have a general name, as well as a data classification, or “Dataclass” name/ID for organization purposes. The format is as follows, Type-DocumentationID-Danger.
Types include Humanoid, Instance, Game, Model, Event, and Accessory to name a few. Deviations that don't fall under the previous listed
categories will be denoted as Other, such as groups, messages, exploits, badges and more.
Classification is its respective numbering, usually in relation to the order it is found compared to other entities.
Danger level is indicated by a letter variable also, ranging from Cataclysmic, Hazardous, Neutral, Secure, and Unknown.
Unknown danger-leveled deviators are advised to stay away from, as it is completely unsure of whether they can affect your client, computer, or life.
For example, a Model-based entity being the thirty-first ever found with a Secure level ranking would be denoted as Deviation M-0031-S.
Model: This deviation is an inanimate object or artifact found in games that possess supernatural powers to them.
Humanoid: The most common type of deviation. Humanoid deviations are to resemble Robloxians in a sense, or have human-like features, mostly being two legs, two arms, a
torso, and a head.
Game: This deviation are games on the platform with supernatural occurrences in them. Games cannot truly be “contained,” but the company has provided portals to the game
itself, or fragmented models from their origin game.
Multiple examples of Model, Humanoid, and Game deviations.
Event: A special occurrence that happens to players that doesn’t have a physical form but affects things inside a game.
Accessory: Gears, hats, faces, clothing, and more on the Marketplace that have supernatural abilities once adorned or used.
Instance: On the rare side of deviations, these are in-studio deviations that aren’t properly registered as bugs and never get hotfixed.
Multiple examples of Event, Accessory, and Instance deviations.
Other: Extremely rare for a deviation. Essentially an umbrella-term for all deviations that don’t exactly fall under the previously listed categories. An example would be 0018, Perfect.
