DATABASE DEVIATION O-0039-M

M.PAIGE

“Hello. Are the skies bluer than the days we’ve left behind?”

DAMAGE TYPE: BLACK IRON

DEVIATION TYPE: OTHER: DECAL

DANGER LEVEL: MODERATE

Description

O-0039-M, or commonly known M.PAIGE, is a decal with its original sighting date being unknown, but has been seen getting more and more documentations and mentions around February of 2010 to June of 2011 before its quick containment by RDD. The deviation was originally found in the game Sword Fighting Minigames(15) by the user TheGamer101, where its appearance was described to be a decal of a white background with a black square bearing a smaller, white square inside of it. 0039 would only exist in one server, and if that specific server would die, one of the other server instances would have the deviation appear randomly on a part in the game. Later on in its lifetime on Roblox, 0039 was known to migrate and appear in other games, operating the exact same as it would in previous games.

Interactions with the anomaly have always stayed at a minimum for some odd reason. O-0039-M has been known to be able to communicate via Hint instances, however is known to be very uncommunicative, especially towards RDD agents. However, two recorded interviews with the deviation have been provided in the entry, as these are the only existing interviews that 0039 has been willing to let RDD have after numerous attempts at starting many others.

Story

Hello. Are the skies bluer than the days we’ve left behind?
Maybe the clouds that have flown past are reminders of
the memories we’ve all clearly forgotten.

Do you remember?
Sorry. I know you don’t.
You never will. But hopefully
You can. Eventually.

Behavior

O-0039-M is known to be commonly idle or “offline” in a game, usually just being a plain decal with no other properties whatsoever. Players have been seen usually paying little to no attention while 0039 is in an idle state, as it bears no interesting features to it other than being a mysteriously placed decal.

However, the deviation’s behavior is substantially different when it's “active” in a game, usually able to be differentiated from its idle stage by speaking in hint instances, and an audible, glitchy noise playing constantly. During its active state, players are able to interact and talk with it, although the chances of it becoming active are relatively rare for one to see in-game.

Strangely enough, all players who have interacted with the deviation in its active state have been known to forget the existence and all information relating to it after around a week. O-0039-M also seems to have lethal capabilities, with both anomalous interests being explained furthermore in the following recording instances.

Recording Instance 0001MP | 06/22/2010

The following was the first ever recorded interview with O-0039-M and an RDD agent. It took 38 previous attempts over a span of five weeks to get this first interview.

A.A: hello?
A.A: is this thing even alive???

[Eight seconds pass with silence.]

O-0039-M: Hello. Are the skies bluer than the days we’ve left behind?

A.A: OH MY GOd
A.A: IT FINALLY REPSONDDED
A.A: what does that mean?
O-0039-M: Maybe you’ll remember someday.

[Agent was told that the deviation’s speech behavior was observed to be somewhat odd and cryptic. The interview proceeds.]

A.A: who or what even are you?
O-0039-M: A reminder for someone. There but my presence wasn’t recognized.

A.A: what are your intentions?
O-0039-M: The mind is filled with fog.
O-0039-M: I do not know myself. However, I do remember being there to aid others.
O-0039-M: However, they never remembered me.

A.A: why are you even here?
O-0039-M: To be remembered and forgiven. It appears many have forgotten, lest even known. But maybe they will.
O-0039-M: We will meet again sometime. Good day.

A.A: wha
A.A: what???
A.A: hello???

[O-0039-M was said to be defunct past that point. End of interview.]

Addendum

A week after this interview with the deviation was conducted, the agent who had interviewed O-0039-M was said to have never recalled doing an interview, or even knowing who or what 0039 is. When confronting the agent furthermore, they were persistent in saying this is the truth, and that they genuinely cannot remember what the anomaly is. Further research is to be conducted on this matter.

Recording Instance 0002MP | 08/06/2010

The following is the second recorded interview with 0039 and agent egghead44, who had recently became an agent to the company. This interview was recorded inside the game “Roblox Channel One News Studio” by HershyChocolate, moments before the deviation was found to be a hazard and brought into containment by RDD. This time, it has taken 19 previous attempts since the previous recording instance to get this interview.

egghead44: Hello?
egghead44: M.PAIGE?

[Twelve seconds pass with silence.]

O-0039-M: Hello. Are the skies bluer than the days we’ve left behind?

egghead44: God, finally.
egghead44: Let’s get this over with. Where did you come from?
O-0039-M: I am a creation of myself.

egghead44: Why can’t anyone remember you after meeting you during your active state?
O-0039-M: Can anyone hear me?
O-0039-M: I want to be known.
O-0039-M: Maybe now we can remember everything.

egghead44: What?

Seconds after the deviation said its last comment, the head of agent egghead44 was said to burst, followed by other users within the server also being decapitated. Previous servers that held O-0039-M at one point would also have all concurrent players in the server’s heads explode. Quickly after this incident, 0039 was suppressed and brought into containment to RDD. May egghead44 and all other casualties rest in peace.
Strangely enough, other users that had no complete relations to the anomaly or the games it was in at one point also had their heads blown up. More research is to be done on that matter.

Analysis

From observing the very few interactions and the story from 0039, there are multiple things to take into account about what we can tell is its “story.” The deviation was an assistant formicated out of nothing that was known to help others in some unknown way, but however, due to some anomalous property of it, all players that interacted with it would later on forget everything relating to 0039’s existence, causing 0039 to always be forgotten. It's still unknown how it has its lethal capabilities, and why it has come to an idle state before being captured by RDD.

[COMPANY NOTICE]

O-0039-M, although looking like a quaint, unharmful decal, possesses extremely lethal powers if ever brought to an unwell state. Upon breach, 0039 will place its decal in the middle of a random room in the entire facility, and will periodically cause random employees' heads to burst, often being agents with a very fragile mind. Please handle O-0039-M with extreme responsibility if it is to breach.
