Description

The Extravagant Builder’s Club was a prototype tier of the Builder’s Club membership program that was made to outperform and surpass all other tiers, as well as surpassing all benefits that Outrageous Builder’s Club would’ve given. The list of benefits given to participants is as follows:

• 100 robux would be given daily.
• Users would be able to publish 250 games.
• Users would be able to join 150 groups.
• Users would be able to create 150 groups.
• Respective membership-specific accessories, such as the EBC Hardhat.
• Respective membership-specific gears.
• "A newly deployed AI assistant to be a supportive-buddy and help you in games!"
• Other shared benefits amongst other tiers of Builder's Club, such as the privilege to trade items.

Roblox received heavy negative feedback, as EBC’s rewards were too vast for most players to utilize to their fullest, as the average Robloxian will not make 200 games in their lifespan, and the pricing for these benefits, with $29.99 USD per month or $79.99 every three months, was also found extremely high and scandalous to many players out there.

Surprisingly enough, a shocking estimate of around 170 users actually subscribed to EBC, paying the hefty fee to have all the membership benefits. From numerous interviews, around 70% of the users bought an EBC membership only to see the personal AI assistant promised, Coda, due to the appearance of an artificial intelligence being apparent in such a relatively primitive stage of technology.

When Coda was first documented, it was globally known amongst the Roblox community as “a huge letdown.”. Instead of being the artificial intelligence that Roblox promised, it was exceptionally a low quality NPC that would follow players around and spit out random strings of pre-written text, and users could barely interact with it. It was only when Roblox deleted EBC in which Coda developed furthermore from a useless NPC into a more anomalous being.

Oddly enough, when Roblox wiped out EBC as a subscribable membership option and kept BC, TBC, and OBC, all EBC-subscribers kept their benefits, such as being able to publish 250 games and ability to join 150 groups, and didn't have to pay anymore for their benefits due to all EBC payment plans being cancelled. One of the more important benefits that EBC-subscribers had kept was the special AI assistant Roblox promised them. The EBC benefits are inherently unimportant and rather uninteresting, as there are no visible anomalous properties in the tier itself, as most of the deviation lies in the assistant given along with EBC, Coda.
